Parallel Lives

The Parallel Lives stories are the "offshoots" from the Main Sequence, little ideas that I just had to write. They are those that are set in a different universe to Main Sequence, or else are set in the canon universe but concern different characters or different timeframes (for example, Eri and Iios, whose story would be set some time after Main Seq. #14 ended).

As in Main Sequence, greyed-out links in the menu refer to placeholders or those with art etc but no actual chapters.

In the Mirrorverses

    Having "mirrorverses" - parallel universes which are set in the same timeframe and are strongly similar to the Main Sequence universe but where characters have made different choices and lead different lives - let me try out different ideas with my "normal" characters; how would things have gone, for instance, had Yaaren not gone to the Arena, and Ivory been created for a different purpose.

    Mirrored - the first in a sequence of three short stories; the first is set in the Mirrorverse visited in "Haze" (see Main Sequence), and refers to the characters from a second parallel world.
    Reflections - the second of the sequence of three related stories. This story carries on from the events in "Mirrored", from the point of view of the visitors from Mirrored (i.e. the Yaaren who was not brought up as a gladiator).
    Ripples - the last of the three related stories. (As yet, this has not got far, and I may ditch it altogether.)

    Automata - with all my Synthetic characters kicking about, I felt suddenly inspired to write a more "Asimov"-esque story, set in a world where robots are more the norm and accepted aspects of daily life. In this, Ivy is a biological character, a university tutor in robotics and lab assistant, who decides on a little "experiment" of her own.

Timeframes

    These are stories from the "Main Sequence" universe, but set in different times, for instance pre-dating "Ride the Avocet", or in different places.

    Gladiator - Yaaren and Aileena's story; how the characters first met. (Set considerably before "Ride the Avocet".)

    #1 Rogue in Velvet - the first of Eri and Iios' stories. (Set in the latter part of the Main Sequence time-frame, probably falling after "Darkling". No characters are borrowed from Main Sequence, however, so this IS a stand-alone story.)
    #2 Shadow Silver - Continues on from "Rogue in Velvet". Thrust together in a world where the slightest wrong step or the slightest inaccuracy in choice of words could spell disaster, the unlikely twosome must work together for both to get out with skins intact.
    #3 Line of Duty - before meeting Eri, Iios survived quite happily on what he could beg, borrow or steal (mostly, he stole). An ultimatum from Eri, however ("You go back to your old ways and I'm leaving") means a change of MO, and a new job. And jobs aren't always easy to find, when you're in Iios' position...

Miscellany

    Short stories; some spots and scraps of unfinished fiction, most of which never went anywhere; and a few notes uploaded because of their associated imagery.
    "I'll be good..." - Iios and Azure, the former carrying out a little "Corrective Training" of the latter.
    Raindrops - Iios and an unnamed female (I think it was a friend's character "Asri" but the storyline went precisely nowhere), angsting in the rain on a stormy seashore.
