Dauntless

Slate originally turned into some enormous great monster when he shape-shifted, but that always annoyed me - where did he get all the mass from? Some mystical magical astral plane? Pfft. The shape-shifting and growing an extra pair of limbs is silly enough! XD So from the giant he started out as - eight foot tall and about twenty from nose to tail - I redeveloped him as pretty weedy. Most of his bulk is centred around his chest, to power his wings. Plus, he's acquired a nifty little set of whiskers.
