Dauntless

Lim and Suni are Sei's "personal security firm" - synthetic animals known as umasiinu, they originally were intended just to maintain security at his home, but his need for companionship meant he gave them voices. Lim (who looks rather drunk, here, and about to fall over) is the only one to actually utilise its voice; Suni is happy to act "pet-like" and vocalises in chirps and barks. Neither has a gender, at neither physical anatomical level or social identity level - both are happy to be referred to as "it".

Lim takes its duties very seriously and usually remains at home on watch if the little family goes on excursions; Suni usually went with them, to accompany Mirii, especially when she was very young, but does so less now Mirii is finally maturing, emotionally.
