    Hello, and welcome to Dauntless! Please choose your destination, and enjoy your stay.
    I apologise for those pages which are currently inactive - it's taking a lot more time (which I'm critically short of) than I thought it would to get them all written and uploaded. In the interim, before I get everything finished off, please see the sitemap, which illustrates all those pages which are active and contain material, and those which are still "placeholders" (to avoid too much extensive construction to add in pages at a later date).

   Updates

   First Contact - what is this all about, anyway? What IS Dauntless all about? What started it all off, and where is the author planning on taking it?
   This section includes the sitemap, which is a good source of information on which pages are active and uploaded and which are still just "pageholders", a rudimentary Google-driven search function, and Ship's Stores, where (ultimately) my fiction (and possibly related art) will be available in printed form (I hope).

   Main Sequence - the main fiction, detailing the happenings to Dauntless' crew, and mostly set aboard the ship herself.

   Parallel Lives - related to Main Sequence, but about the lives of other characters; those with connections to the main cast, "Mirrorverse" duplicates, and so on. "Offshoots" from the Main Sequence, as it were.

   Inhabiting a Galaxy - the people, animals, plants and places you may come across.

   The Cast - main cast only. A glimpse at some of the people you may meet, with all their associated problems and cantankerosities.

   Imagery - Dauntless-related artwork; concepts, detailed imagery, old and new, and a smattering of guest art.

   Diversify - other movements. Trivia, thoughts, plans, FAQs, and just-what-do-all-those-words-mean-anyhow?

   Interact - coming soon, maybe.

    Some more of Rogue in Velvet (chapters 2 and part of 3) have been uploaded, and I realised that for some reason I'd managed to completely forget to give the Yurra a page in the galaxy section, which has now been rectified. That page and the page for the Xniki have been updated with a couple of small pictures. Eri's profile has been uploaded too, including a profile picture.

    Done some rearrangements, fixed up the sitemap and such. Started getting Rogue in Velvet uploaded at last, as well, so hurrah, or something...

    Gallery is now at last updated, hurrah. So far, as well as uploading the art I haven't bothered putting up lately (mostly in "Concepts and Sketches"), I’ve also uploaded a new section into the art index, namely cartoons; the two cartoons in question are both new-to-the-site if only one (“Pretzel”) is actually new. Mind you, nothing much at all will be new to those people who watch my ElJay or devART account.
    As for other updates, got some profiles polished up and uploaded too, now: Iios’ profile has been updated a smidge, Onyx and Ren have FINALLY got their profiles online. (It's only taken what, 5 years? ) Finally re-uploaded Aileena's profile, although it needs tweaking, and Azure's profile is all new (if not COMPLETELY finished...).

    The Zaar finally have their profile, and an accompanying picture. One day I'll get around to updating the images in the gallery.

    Goodness me, is this in fact an update? *dies of shock* What can I say, my desire to move house has obliterated much of my desire to work on my poor site, but the idea I may soon be moving has given me a poke back into motion. Admittedly, this isn't a big update, but eh, we'll get there. Magpie finally has a profile! Sentient starships ftw.

    Whew. FINALLY got around to uploading the active/finished chapters for some of the older fiction; so far, Automata and Mirrored. Naiiri's profile has been slightly edited, also, to include a profile picture.

    Some updates and new pages in "Inhabiting a Galaxy"; the Unclaimed Zone is a new (albeit short) addition altogether, there's now some information up on the fleets, and the old Vul and Purpureodon profiles are back up - I removed "Terminology" altogether, since the lexicon makes it a bit redundant. Also, a very old character, a certain Doctor Naiiri, has been awarded a profile, as I may be using her again in the near future.

    As well as the new image show at the top of the page, there's some "in-progress" images too - the inks and the initial work, and a comparison between the old and the new iterations of the image. I'm still working at finishing the thing off altogether, but I'm not sure how it'll go - it's already very "busy", and I don't want the picture overpowered.

    Ivy's profile has been updated, with "new technology" and something akin to a personality added, and a new image (see "Latest Art", top right). Iios' profile has also been updated, with a sort of a rundown on his internal technical details, but meh. technobabble FTW, I suppose...?

    All right, it took longer to get the subdomain to work than I was anticipating, but hopefully there should be no dreaded 4-oh-4s by the end of the week. Not all pages will have been quite finished, as I have to get some of the fiction coded, profiles finished and brief species details how I want them, but the pages should be there at least. (Of course, if you SPOT any mankiness, please let me know? I'm still on dialup and it takes forever working through, so I can't guarantee I'll not have missed a few.)
    Otherwise, Sei and Iios now have profiles, I've added a few species to the galaxy page, and rearranged the cast page a bit. Yay.
